I was so saddened to hear of Paul’s passing. I will miss my dear cousin. He’s always been such an integral part of my life. Strong and tender are two qualities in a person that aren’t often seen together, and yet he had them both in great abundance.

He would often come and visit with my grandparents, his uncle Zaire and Aunt Fay. I know he meant a lot to them too. In the later part of their lives, he just about gave me a coronary when he took Grandpa to go to cedar City to buy a mutton, I think. I had no idea where Grandpa was and was about to send out the search and rescue. That was when Grandma was in the depths of her senility and I spent a lot of time at their house making sure everything was okay. Paul felt so bad that he had caused me so much concern but it was a great gesture on his part to take Grandpa and get him away from all of the problems that he was having and so it didn’t bother me a bit.

Ironically, on my daily visit to their house about 2 months later, Grandpa was missing again. I wondered if maybe Paul had come and gotten him again but sadly, this time Grandpa had gone out on his own to get firewood and he would never come home again as he died in a falling accident that evening. I think Paul missed him greatly. And I will miss Paul greatly. I look forward to seeing him again on the other side. That is something that I know with all my heart is going to happen.

My best to all of you and your families.

I went to high school with Paul. We became good friends after graduation and have kept in touch all these years. I talked to him on the phone last August or so and he told me he was doing good. Never got to meet his family. At our last high school reunion I never had a chance to visit with him much. He was too busy helping all his old classmates enjoy themselves. I have lost a good friend! May his family find comfort at this time.

Paul has been such a great friend every since our family moved to Kanab. He lived just down the street from us.
Tony & I have continued that friendship with Paul. We loved visiting with him. We love his kindness & his concern for everyone. He was so awesome helping with our last class reunion! Our meetings to plan it were so fun & Paul was willing to help in any way he could. The day of he was busy but he saw me struggling with the long table covering & dropped what he was doing to help me get it taped down…that was just Paul’s nature! I can’t imagine our next reunion without Paul manning the Dutch I’ve potatoes! I’ll always look @ our class photo from that reunion & think of Paul & the great care he took seeing that part was taken care of!
Tony & I loved him & will greatly miss him, but we envision his reunion with his sweetheart Gloria & Jerry, & all who have gone before!
