Patricia Whitlock

06/12/1941 – 08/05/2023

You are our sunshine, our only sunshine, you made us happy when skies were grey …
On August 5, 2023, Patricia Olive Olsen Whitlock passed peacefully away, going from the arms of her husband, Jim, into the arms of the Lord. Surrounded by his love and devotion, Pat and Jim spent 62 wonderful years as loving partners. They were married on September 30, 1961, and were later sealed for all eternity in the St. George Temple on November 7, 2018.
Pat was born in Ogden, Utah, to her parents Floyd Kelly Olsen and Florance Millard Olsen. She lost her mother and half-brother in a car accident at the tender age of five. On that day, Pat’s life was spared. She lost her father soon after.
Pat and Jim were married in their early 20s. They briefly lived in American Fork, Utah, and then came to Kanab, where they bought their beautiful yellow house; one of Pat’s favorite colors (besides pink.) Jim and Pat built an amazing together.
Pat’s favorite things besides her life partner were family and friends. She always had a tender heart towards all living creatures. She was always willing to help out family and friends in need.
Pat worked at Chef’s Palace restaurant in Kanab until it closed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two older sisters and younger brother.
Thank you to all of the many wonderful people who helped care for Pat the past couple years.
Pat, you were so very loved. Keep shining; the sun will come out tomorrow. You shine brightly in our hearts, dear and always happy; an earth angel gained her wings.
See you on the other side dear.
