Kathy Baysinger

Kathy T. Baysinger, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away at her home in Kanab, Utah on March 13, 2018 at the age of 73.

Kathy was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 1, 1945 at 12:03 a.m. which made her the official New Year’s Baby for Utah 1945. Her childhood in Salt Lake City was made wonderful by her parents, John D. Turner and Betty J. Turner but most of all she relished the time spent with her grandparents, Hiram Bradley Clawson and Pearl Bailey Clawson. She spoke of the days spent with them as “The Bliss of her Childhood”. At the age of 14 she met her true love, soul mate, and lifelong partner, Howard E. Baysinger, Jr. They married in their teens and had a long and loving life together. Howard was at her side at the time of her passing.

Kathy and Howard have two sons.  Howard E. Baysinger, III was born in 1968 and Bradley Douglas Baysinger was born in 1970. Kathy loved her sons with all her heart.

Kathy loved her animals and always had many around her. She had a successful career in Veterinary Medicine and dog grooming. In their retirement, Howard and Kathy moved to Kanab, Utah. Kathy called Kanab “her favorite place on earth”.

Kathy had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and the Bible. She spoke often of Heaven and seeing her grandparents again.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Howard, two sons, seven granddaughters, one grandson, and one great-grandson.

We will all miss her very, very much and look forward to seeing her again.   Graveside services were held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 in the Kanab Cemetery.
