Dakota Bulletts

  Dakota James Bulletts (“DJ”) was born June 26, 2001, in Idaho Falls, Idaho and returned home to his Creator on January 29, 2022. Dakota was born to Edwin and Tiffany Bulletts. Dakota has two biological siblings whom he loved, Austin and Arianna.
 In 2006, Dakota along with Austin, moved to the Kaibab Paiute Reservation to live with and be raised by Carmen and Bob Bradley and gained two sisters Cierra and Shian.  Dakota also lived in various places during his lifetime and chose to spend part of his senior year living with his biological grandfather Alpine Bulletts and his wife Javev, before moving out on his own.
 Dakota attended school in Fredonia, El Capitan High School, and graduated from Pine View High School. When Dakota was in Elementary School he swam and competed with the Killer Whales from Fredonia. He was a fish and loved swimming.  His favorite stroke was the breast stroke and looked like a little frog. While living on the reservation, Dakota learned some of his Paiute ways.  He attended language classes and learned to sing Paiute songs with Austin.  Dakota participated in Tribal basketball camps in the summer and received the award of MVP a few times and ‘Most Helpful’ player.  Dakota enjoyed helping others.
 Anyone who knew Dakota knew that he was an especially hard worker with a great work ethic. He always wanted to be working and earn his own way in life. Sometimes Dakota would work two to three jobs at a time. He was proud of the skills that he learned along the way. Dakota loved hunting, the outdoors, animals, cars and tools.. He was skilled in ranching, worked for an awning company, learned flooring, food service and worked for Burton Lumber in St. George, UT.
 Dakota had an infectious smile that could melt any heart. His smile was as big as his heart and he loved and was loved by many in his life.  He has friends and family in many places - Idaho, Kaibab Paiute Reservation, Escalante, UT, Phoenix, AZ, Fredonia, AZ, Kanab, UT, St. George, UT just to mention a few. 
 Dakota was engaged to his fiance Estrella and they lived together with their puppy Roxie. Dakota adored the both of them.
 Dakota James Bulletts is survived by his biological and extended family, his many friends, and his Paiute community.
A funeral was held Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 3 PM at the Kaibab Paiute Multipurpose building.  An all night sing was held Sunday evening, and then Dakota was buried in the Kaibab Paiute Cemetery.  Services were arranged with Mosdell Mortuary of Kanab.

    Dakota always brought sunshine into my day when he would stop by to see me at my tribal office. His smile would light up a room and his sweet, kind spirit was always evident in the way he helped others.

    My love and condolences go out to his fiancé, family and friends. May you find peace and comfort from the Creator. My prayers are with you.

    Such a great kid! I remember my boys wanting to be able to swim like him! Lots of prayers and love to his family and friends, he will be missed by many 💔
