She was a speedy seamstress and regularly made clothes and quilts for her children. Anna was intrigued by the tole painting trend in the 70’s and successfully taught herself the strokes and techniques.

Anna loved being outdoors and any opportunity to take a day trip out in the countryside. She liked to search for arrowheads and find a chunk of pine gum to chew. Anna spent many summers as a child in Swain’s Creek and loved to return to the mountains often. She had a deep love of animals and throughout her life had many cherished cats, dogs, chickens, cows, and horses.

She loved family pictures and telling stories of her memories. She spent hours organizing and creating photo albums for all her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Keith Levere and a granddaughter Jane Ruth. She is survived by her brother, sister, six children, and eleven grandchildren. In 2014, John and Anna celebrated their golden anniversary. They celebrated a total of 53 years together. Her greatest joys were spent time with her family around her.
