Robert Brissette

It is with great sadness that the Brissette family announces the death of Robert Stephen Brissette. He passed on October 20, 2021 surrounded by his wife, Debbie, and his daughters, Jessie and Faith.
Rob was born June 5, 1963 in Whittier, CA and raised in La Habra, CA where graduated from Sonora High School and pursued an AAS Degree in Automotive at DSU. He spent 20+ years working on cars as well as racing the Bonneville Salt Flat and El Mirage where he broke a 200+mph record. He also shot NRA competition with his dad for about 4/5yrs.
He enjoyed hunting and being out in nature was his private time to communicate with our Lord. He was a mechanic and loved working on cars as well as working on his race car and racing the Bonneville Salt Flats with his Dad. He enjoyed rides on his motorcycle. His family was his life he loved playing with his kids, grandkids and the dogs (Reeses and Bear). He was a character and had a blast being an extra in various movies over the years. He loved his heritage wearing a kilt and just plain goofing around. He was a big flirt. We got a kick out of that. He was always there to help someone in need even if he didn’t know them. He had a lot of fun getting to be in the few movies he was in as an extra. He always stood up for what he believed was right.

Rob is survived by Debbie, his beloved wife of 32 years, his daughters, Jessie (Steven) Willams, Faith Brissette, son, Sean (Jolene) Brissette, his grandchildren; Michael, Aydeen, Skylar, Serenity, and Jackson, his Father, Robert Brissette, a brother, David Oliver and sister Jenene Brissette. Predeceased by his Mother Joan E. Danforth and his son Steven R Brissette.

A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 @ 2pm at Calvary Chapel Kanab 395 S. 200 E, Kanab, UT 84741.

Rhodes family Karen(mother) Rebecca (daughter) Timothy (son) will be there in spirit because we are not allowed to travel from Australia. Robert and Debbie was a couple we met on a carnival cruise 2014 we have been friends from a distance since. Robert rocked the kilt with his long legs lol he also starred in a few movies as a stand in. Robert lived on the edge but this time fell off. He also had big mouth in voicing his opinions just joking Debbie. I will miss his Facebook dry humour. Love you Debbie today will be a hard day for all of his close family lots of love.

I am a Bonneville cohort of the Brissettes and was with them in September crewing on their race car. I came to know his Dad Bob in 2000 and through Bob became good friends with Rob. Over the years we have shared a lot of good memories on the Salt and will definitely miss him. Our sympathies go out to family and friends.

I’m a Bonneville cohort of the Brissette’s. I just spent time with Rob and Bob in September at the salt flats. I became acquainted with Bob in 2000 and through him got to be good friends with Rob as well. I have good memories crewing with them down through the years. He will be missed. Our sympathies to the family and friends of Rob.
