Maryanne “Terry” Griffin, died August 3, 2019 in Kanab, Utah. She was born December 11, 1949 in Portland, Oregon. She spent all of her young life through to high school graduation in Phoenix, Arizona. She met and married her first husband, Keith Williams, in 1973. Shortly after he passed away early in their marriage, she moved to Las Vegas to live and work. There she met and fell in love with her second husband, Douglas Griffin, in 1978. They both worked in the office and education departments at Rancho High School in Clark County. Upon retirement in 1996, they moved to Kanab, Utah.
Terry was a passionate and talented musician and songwriter. Her many musical talents include the fiddle, the autoharp, and the guitar. She founded and led many old time bands which performed at many venues across the western United States.
Terry loved new adventures and being outdoors. Hiking and kayaking were among her favorite activities. She also spent countless hours outside in her garden where she grew beautiful flowers, trees, and vegetables.
Terry is survived by her husband Doug Griffin, son Kristopher (Jean) Williams, stepstons Craig (Lisa) Griffin and Garet (Hannah) Griffin, and her grandchildren Gabriel and Gennavieve Williams, and Matt, Andy, Oliver, Sam Hailey, and Delany Griffin. A small memorial will be announced at a later date. Thank you all for your love and support in our time of need.
