Sherri Michelle Bistline Pledger was born September 17, 1975 to Francis Lee Bistline Sr. and Charlett Zitting Bistline in Hildale, UT. She passed away January 2, 2020 as a result of a tragic vehicle accident.

Sherri grew up in a very large and loving family with two other mothers, and forty-three siblings. She attended public school at Colorado City Unified School District in Colorado City, AZ where she graduated high school in 1994.

Sherri was always the one who stepped up to be there to babysit, and nurture for her younger siblings, nieces, and nephews. She loved to have fun, and threw parties for their Birthdays, or for no reason at all. She would always say, “these are my kids too.” She claimed all her nieces and nephews as her own.

Sherri was united in marriage to Joseph Pledger on October 29, 1998. Sherri loved Joe dearly. She would brag about Joe being an amazing husband and father. She spoke of how he spoiled her and how he was her best friend. She was a phenomenal wife and mother.

Sherri worked at several jobs in her lifetime, but ultimately was a mother “first” when she started having her own family. Her husband and children were her world. Sherri would do about anything to make sure they were cared for, felt loved, and were happy. She loved to, read, socialize and party, but her most precious times were spent with her husband and children. She taught her children to be kind, loving, and forgiving. She was determined to never allow them to be critical of others. She turned them towards loving their father and loving God.

Sherri had such a contagious laugh as well as a contagious cry. She had the tenderest heart, and could never hurt anyone. She was easily startled, and fun to harass because she could give it back even harder and leave us all laughing with tears. People were drawn to her, and she had numerous friends. Her absence will be heavy on all who loved her.

Sherri is survived by her husband Joseph Dean Pledger, her children Dannah Jo Pledger, Jaden Craig Pledger, Brooklyn Dawn Pledger, and Katie Janae Pledger, Her Mother Charlett Bistline, thirty nine siblings, and hundreds of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held for Sherri and her daughters at 1:00PM on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the Kanab Center – 20 N 100 E, Kanab, UT with the viewing starting at 11:00AM. Burial will be at Isaac Carling Cemetery – 500 Township Ave, Colorado City, AZ.
